I believe cultivating a mindful morning routine is an important aspect of daily life and can be the first place to start on any path to wellness.
Our days are filled with chaos and noise and constantly running from one thing to another.
Too often we have little time for intentional activity, quiet, solitude, and mindfulness. But we can intentionally create that lovely, mindful space that we crave.
If your reality makes 10-30 minutes more likely for a morning routine, work with what you’ve got. Just commit to it and make it a priority.
It’s about creating some space for meditation, reflection, movement, writing, or anything else you’d like to have room for in your life. And finding some space in the mornings for that, a sacred space that takes advantage of the quiet and beautiful energy of the morning light.
Here are some suggested morning ritual practices to incorporate into your mornings.
Find a place in your home where you can set a meditation pillow, yoga mat and an altar. An altar is a sacred space created around an intention and it can be really simple with just a candle, crystal or a flower.
A sacred altar will help remind you to reconnect to your previous intentions and manifestations. You can pray over your altar, meditate by your altar, contribute something new to your altar, or anything else you feel called to do.
Morning meditation is a beautiful way to start your day. Meditation will help you connect to inner peace and you can carry it with you throughout your day. Your practice can consist of anything you feel calling to incorporate.
Suggested morning meditations are chakra clearing, ground, and connecting to the Divine.
You may feel called to add the following to your meditation: breath work, guided meditation, connecting to gratitude, or visualization.
If you are someone who doesn’t spend much time in the ethereal realm, having a more practical embodiment practice, like dancing or yoga or running—something that really grounds you in the body—may be a better fit for you.
Movement in the morning will also wake up the physical body by increasing blood flow!
Journaling is powerful. Just do a big brain dump. Get all of your ideas and fears and thoughts out of your mind and onto paper. Simply let your pen flow, allowing whatever needs to come through. Ideas, stories, topics, inspired visions, things that you may not have thought of on your own, will begin to come forward. Don’t over think it or second-guess yourself or edit a word. Just write.
You can also use this sacred place to increase communication between you and your guides by writing them a letter or asking them for assistance in specific ways.
Many people enjoy pulling a card in the morning to receive guidance for their day. A card reading in the morning is a beautiful way to connect to messages from the Divine and to bring you validation and remembrance.
